Dear Parents, Carers and Taxi Drivers
I hope you are all well. Last week we said goodbye to Angela who left TCP after 3.5 years to follow her passion for horticulture and cookery.

I would like to welcome Joseph, who has joined the staff team on a full-time basis and Hayden who has already been working on a part-time for the last few months, but will now be joining us on a full time basis - it is great to have you both onboard!

We also welcome Hayden who will be attending the project 4 days a week.

Down Syndrome Act - Call for Evidence

On 28th April, the Down Syndrome Act came into force in England. It aims to give people with Down's syndrome better access to healthcare, social care, housing and education. The Act requires government to develop and consult on guidance that authorities must have regard to when providing services in these four areas. In July, the Department of Health and Social Care launched the Call for Evidence, the starting point in the consultation process for development of statutory guidance required by the Down Syndrome Act. At this initial stage, the government is seeking views on what should be included within the guidance and would like to hear from people with Down’s Syndrome, their families and carers, as well as professionals and organisations working with children and adults with Down's Syndrome. The Call for Evidence will run until 8th November and is open to everyone. If you would like to know more, the Down Syndrome Association produced guides for you to read:

Future plans

  • The new timetable will be published next week and more details will be sent out to all parents shortly.

  • Christmas Fayre Wednesday 23rd November at the Clubhouse
